Maraian

Mistress of Death Maraian

Maraian is the god of death and afterlife. Rather than choosing who dies, she acts as the most significant psychopomp and shepherds a recently deceased soul to an afterlife in order to be cleaned and returned. Maraian rules over funerals and death rites and, thus, loathes the undead in all forms. The sacred animal is the snow leopard and the sacred plant is the mistletoe.

Divine Domains

• Grave. Maraian is the guardian of the dead and the guide for souls. Priests who emphasize this domain proceed over funerals and sanctify the dead to stop undeath.
