The Masquerade

The Masquerade are supposedly men and women of the higher nobility that make the ‘real’ decisions in The Lansan Grand Duchys. All chosen by Grand Duchess Beatrice Gardner , all shrouded in masks and mystery from each other. They as a council make large decisions before partying into the night.
It is only a rumour of power, but it does have credence within The Lansan Grand Duchys repertoire, but it has it's power. Those in high places that believe it worry they may politically assassinate one of this inner circle and incur wrath, others long to join it and will do anything to seek recognition.
