Post Op Report // DAEDALUS CAMPAIGN: STAGE II (11/24/2021)

 

Op. Designation: FIRST LIGHTNING

  General outline: OPERATION SUCCESS  

Objectives:

  Secure the food supplies and destroy the squig pens.  

Second Company Report:

  * Second Company rode into Prassus on a small fleet of assault bikes.   * On the way, they battled several Ork speedfreaks driving trucks, which pursued them up to the entrance to the hab.   * The hab was blocked by tanktraps and debris, forcing Second Company to disembark from their bikes and proceed on foot.   * Fighting on foot through the Orks already present in the hab, Second Company secured the food stores and prepared to demolish the squig pens.   * Before the squig pens could be destroyed, the Orks counterattacked with heavy weapons from the hills above, bombarding and pinning the Second Company down for the next several minutes.   * Eventually the counter-attack was broken and the Second Company searched for survivors, finding three workers from the hab who had survived the Orks. The survivors relayed the information that they had spotted Ork war machines further into Prassus.   * A Valkyrie from the Imperial Guard was called in to evacuate the remaining civilian survivors.   * The Second Company returned to Fort Mersa on their assault bikes, once more encountering Ork speedfreaks on the way.  

Conclusion

  * Food stores secured, squig pens destroyed, and Orks slain.   // End report.
