Vyon
Vyon, the setting for The Cleansing Flame, is a hereditary country only 200 years old. The northeastern part of the continent Omphalos, it is bordered by sea to the north and east, the mountains of Dhog Lodir to the west, and its father country, Ascus, to the south.
Vyon declared its independence from Ascus two hundred years ago, led by Lucas Moonstream, supposed child of Vydea, the goddess of the moon. After a war of independence, Vyon was established with Riverrun, the largest of the cities in Omphalos, as the capital city. A large temple to Vydea was erected in honor of their patron, and the Moonstreams have ruled since.

Towns
Bellbury- A small town that sits along the Muyar River where its tributaries meet.
Castin- The southernmost town along the Spine, it is full of poor refugees from Ascus.
Clearhall- a mining town along the Muyar River.
Grimpeak- a mining town north of the Muyar River.
Kinetas- The city that sits at the intersection of the Spine and the Moonrise. The de facto capital of southern Vyon.
Muyar Harbor- The city that sits on the outlet of the Muyar River into the Muyar Bay. A bustling trade city and the center of water-based shipping to and from Riverrun.
Penrith- A small community along the Moonrise, and according to Rukiya, the only one that does not grow their own grain.
Riverrun- The largest city on the continent and former capital of Vyon. It sits at the intersection of the Muyar River, Bluekress River, and the Spine.
Tradewind- A trading hub at the end of the Moonrise on the Moonrise Gulf.
Vydenia- Capital city of Vyon, sitting on the island in the center of Silvermoon Bay.
Yesa- site of the former village of Yesa, one of the oldest settlements on the surface of Omphalos.

Geographic Locations
The Kahm- a large lake connected by river to the Moonrise Gulf, it is surrounded by small fishing communities.
Moonrise Gulf- The large body of water that cuts into the center of Vyon
Muyar Bay- The bay at the end of Muyar River before emptying into the sea beyond. There are forts on either side of the mouth.
Silvermoon Bay- Near the northern end of Vyon, it is a large bay with a narrow mouth to the sea that contains a large island. Vydenia is located on the island and around the edge of the bay. There are forts on either side of the mouth of the bay.
The Windbough- the forests that extend across the border of Vyon and Ascus.
