Fellendar

Fellendar was a city of opportunity. It sprung up in the mid to late 3100's when the Yigerin Dynasty announced a willingness to trade, marking a stream as where they would set up shop. With funding from the Naturmin Orthodoxy, a village was built around this stream, praying that Umberlee would continue to feed it. The village grew from being able to trade spices and silks from it's eastern neighbour for various medicinal plants, dyes, and amongst the goods; incredible feats of smithing.   The tools drew in craftsmen hoping to get their hands on these tools; settled down to wait for their turn. While adventurers, politicians, and generals made the trek to acquire these powerful blades for themselves. The city grew quickly as it became a hub of the trades, and under the gentle rule of Archbishop Elise Vyriendottir the people of Fellendar thrived.   To this day, even after the fall of the Yigerin Dynasty, the stream still exists, protected by the town, and it's people continue to be a place where trades are innovated, and improved; and the few surviving Yigerians continue their history and craft.

Government

The city is ruled by the Naturmin Orthodoxy, and is the seat of the faith, their most respected bishop rules the town and protects it from the harsh winds from the north. The clerical duties of ruling a town are distributed through the church. The current head of church is Archbishop Siofra Goransdottir.

Defences

Walls and a harsh environment keep away most potential dangers. Add in a concentration of clerics and adventurer's and the city is safe.

Industry & Trade

Every manner of craft can be found here, and is exported out through Lorelind's trade routes.

Infrastructure

Windmills transform the brutal storms of The Windfall into powerful tools for processing various materials. Large buildings provide shelter for the people as well as locations for trade conventions.

Districts

Fireshine Lane is a long trade district centered along the stream, either side is shoulder to shoulder with merchants and craftsmen peddling their wares. Locally the lane is considered to go past the one road to wherever there are more merchants than residents.   Highlockke is a culturally distinct sector of the town, built in the wake of the Great Reshaping, it is meant to emulate what the surviving Yigerians described as their homes. It is heavily protected and regulated, to protect the Yigerians and ensure that their goods are sold through official means. Highlockke has buildings built with a dark blue stone, exported from the north, and the floors of the buildings are covered in handcrafted mosaics.   The Tidecraft district is the home of the Archbishop and the Orthodoxy's Cathedral. It is a large residential district, filled with many inns and taverns to support the adventurer's heading north into The Windfall.

History

When the Great Reshaping assaulted Rulthyier, it is believed that the few dozen Yigirian traders are all that's left of the Yigerin Dynasty. The then leader of Fellendar, Bishop Rennick Loganson sent rescue parties into the storm, it is said that he, himself lead the path forward, pushing gale force winds aside. But no one could be found.
