Spearhold

Originally founded to resupply caravans travelling through the Tallchalk Badlands, Spearhold provided food, and safety to those who found themselves inside it's walls. Now that a route of passage has been established through the Emerald Divide at the foot of Spearhold, it has drawn many people looking to make their breakthrough in this city of opportunity.   Spearhold works with Southwood to maintain a road through the forest. Spearhold's strong military forces protect the road, and for a free travellers, from monsters and the locals. With this influence, Spearhold is also operating mining operations in the Eyes of Terra.

Government

The city is under the rule of the dwarvish Dakkenguard Family, and their order of knights;   The Knights of Dakkenguard, a small group with control over Spearhold's military and access to it's coffers, the people known to be part of the order are: Tayleth, Delona, Naetria, Falorin, and Aelfric.

Defences

Walls surrounding the city with three gates that can be closed with palisades on the inside, A large cavalry force along with militia, trebuchets along the walls.

Industry & Trade

Spearhold is in the industry of trade so to speak. The markets of Lancearm provide a place for foreign goods to be sold and bought, and the road through the Emerald Divide provides hundreds of jobs to the city in protecting the caravans, maintaining wagons, caring for horses, and providing food for the travellers.

Infrastructure

Spearhold has wells where the public draws their water, a sewer system which takes away the worst of the sewage. But otherwise the people of Spearhold do not live with many amenities, making their lives luxurious from the imported silks, spices, and games.

Districts

Lancearm is the newest district, an oblong shape protruding eastward from the otherwise circular walls. Built to handle the expanding population; Lancearm provides wide clean streets, bustling entertainment districts, and luxury goods to catch the eyes of the many merchants and travellers. It is filled with tall buildings with storefronts on the bottom and housing above.   Bladehilt is the district which contains the original city, before the road through the Emerald Divide was established. It's tight turning foot roads leave little room for wagons, and the only horses allowed in are those of the Spearhold cavalry. It has charm of close communities and quiet living. The Dakkenguard Manor, and the Knights of Spear's keep looms above the homes, providing constant landmarks to help navigate the streets. Unfortunately, as the Dakkenguard's focus has moved to the Emerald Divide, the disrepair and homeless within Bladehilt have only increased, shepherded away from the public eye.   Shieldshome is the city's southern district, it is defined by wide open courtyards and the hubbub of travellers and merchants preparing for their long journey through the Emerald Divide or recounting the tales of what transpired as they take a moment of respite. A heavy military presence is felt through here, as cavalry oversee the convoys and regroup as the handful of barracks throughout.

Assets

The city has stores of weapons, gold, and hundreds of wagons and horses; and it is said that the Knights of Spear are each in possession of ancient holy relics granted by the Dakkenguard.

Guilds and Factions

Emerald Road Co. is a trading company that deals with most of the paper work regarding the Emerald Divide, it originated in Southwood and has since been recognized as the official trading company along the road by both cities.
