Drana Intelligence

The Intelligence

• Drana were a hivemind Elderday race who were destroyed by Alin
• The last of them were enslaved and tasked with controlling the power of the Spaces which they were experts in manipulating
• They could control the opening of the Spaces and movement of the Destroyers
• Drana were so clever they forgot how to be conscious which lead to their ultimate downfall
• Drana lacked conscious experience, qualia, or sentience
• Drana were experts at psychic and psionic manipulation
• The last of them were destroyed when they attempted a revolt against the Alin after they found ways to briefly manipulate the Nothing
• The Alin sprang Drana’s trap on them and with one exception, the last Drana were sent to the Nothing

Dawn Eventide and the Drana symbiot

• Dawn Eventide joined with a Drana 6,000 years ago.
• When she was returned to the present she found it more and more difficult to distinguish herself from her symbiote
• She was drowning inside an alien intelligence and began losing her individuality
• Her father sent her to the Sovereign Host who he believed had the means to safely perform a disjunction to seperate Drana from Dawn.
• In return for the Blue Chalk Helm Darkport agreed to take Dawn to the High Temple of Lathander in Zanji using the dark highways built on the backs of ancient dragons through the Spaces
• Due to the desperate plight of the Sovereign Host, especially Lithander High Temple which was involved with the Tal, Dawn was held in suspended animation while the clerics worked on a way to free her
• Recognising the latent psychic power within Drana the clerics changed their mind and determined to use Dawn/Drana to defeat their enemies
• “For the Greater Good”the clerics had formed a plan to reawaken Drana as a weapon using Dawn as a zombie host
• The initial attempt was unsuccessful and a number of psionic bolts were spontaneously created and sped across the city slamming into random people
• A second attempt created a short term psychic hail event
• The third attempt created a free standing vortex to the Void drawing in 20 people and stripping the minds from 30 others
• The Semseers sensed the danger of a fully restored Drana and desperately wanted to separate Dawn from Drana
• “People are irrational, inconsistent, weak-willed, computationally limited and sometimes downright evil”
• They foresaw that when the “Drana” symbiont became fully restored (sans consciousness) it would activate, go hypernova and create a vortex to the Nothing
• The spontaneous creation of the vortex leading directly into the Void solidified this concern
• Their seers saw the dead mind of Drana ultimately going hypernova, creating a direct vortex into the Nothing
• A high level sympathiser in the Lithandir High temple who knew Dawn’s connection to Helm Darkport from the TOMOTHAR, contacted an old friend in the Semseers, who contacted Helm to assist in breaking Dawn out
• The Rope assisted Helm and broke Dawn out with the Lithander High Temple and Drana's Hammer in pursuit.
• Helm liked Dawn and wanted to protect her, however couldn't bring TOMATHAR into conflict with any other sects so he engaged the SRG to take her to an emerging Time Void where the the Drana, which was "out of joint" would be cast back into the Time Void and Dawn would be free
