Ydoran Expanse

Covered in heavy temperate rainforest, the Ydoran Expanse is largely unsettled by honinids with a few exceptions including Lizardfolk. Ydoran is the name used by the Lizardfolk themselves, as hidden beneath the canopy and ground are the remnants of an ancient Ydoran Empire of the lizardfolk, which decayed before the rise of the Carkade 6,000 years ago. Sarpadian historians placed the height of the Ydoran Empire some 20,000 years ago and had collected a sizeable collection of artefacts and monuments which were lost during the collapse of the Sarpadian Empire 500 years ago. Now the Ydoran and bordering territories are untamed wilderness and home to teeming populations of beasts and non-hominid lifeforms. The landscape itself has proved an everchanging barrier to armies and largescale migrations since the end of the Ydoran Empire.
