The All Mother

Porcia is one of the twelve gods of the Heavenly Council. She sits beside her consort Uriah, proud and lovely, looking out past her throne in the Celestial Mountains down to the mortal realm and to those mothers and daughters with whom she has great affection for. She is the goddess of fertility and is instrumental in rights of childbirth. Part of the duties involved with being a Matron of Portia is assisting with and leading childbirth ceremonies. In keeping with her role as a fertility deity, Porcia’s role is also extended to agricultural fertility.

General Physical Condition

Porcia is generally depicted as serene woman of childbearing age with an endowed figure and often pregnant, dark skin and soft green eyes. More ancient depictions of Porcia show her to be a humanoid sow with four arms. She holds an infant to her breast in her lower right hand, her holy scepter the Lifedrinker in her lower left.. Raised above her head, she makes a hand gesture of peace and benevolence with her upper right hand and holds either a rose or a peach in her upper left.
