Rindoon
Rindoon (Rinn Dúin)
A frontier borough founded in 1227, nestled on a peninsula of Lough Ree in County Roscommon. The castle at Rindoon was constructed by Geoffrey de Marisco. A hospital under the charge of the Order of Saint John (Knights Hospitaller) is located outside the towns gate.
