Felyera Lionett
Felyera Lionett
After Mrs. Puffin's retirement, Felyera Lionett acquired the Happy Camper Orphanage and moved in with her daughter Sarah, becoming the headmistress. She put a lot of effort into renovating the infrastructure and functioning of the orphanage and making sure that all the needs of her children were met. Admired and beloved by her community, Felyera became well-known due to her tireless and creative efforts to publicize the orphanage to the community and encourage adoption. She is patient, compassionate, and a very good listener, but also strict when necessary.
When Mariah was put under the care of the orphanage, Felyera and her daughter took a special interest in the child, going as far as off-the-record removing her from the list of adoptable children since she didn't want to be adopted. Later on, upon realizing that Mariah was starting to bond with Murray -- one of the regular volunteers-- and seemed distant and withdrawn whenever he would leave after a visit, the headmistress suggested foster care to both of them, as an alternative to a definitive adoption, and was able to convince Murray to accept by ensuring him it was all in the best interest of the child. At the time, she also advised him to keep an open mind, since she sensed that Mariah had great hidden potential but it's not clear whether or not she could sense that the child had supernatural abilities.
Quotes & Catchphrases
I'm afraid there must've been some sort of misunderstanding. You're not the one choosing to adopt one of my children, they're the ones choosing whether or not to get adopted by you.
