The
Fein forest guardian was created on the
Day of Purification by the
White Lord to keep the forest dwellers safe. The Guardian lives within Eristy forest, protecting all its inhabitants.
The Guardian Barrier
If you are a Fein, the forest opens a path for you; all other races will be consumed with their essence light fed to the forest.
All entrances to Fein forest are protected by a pure white area that absorbs an enemy's light, converting their stolen light into usable energy for the forest.
These entrance barriers have turned the lush green grass to a bright white as the essence of all the consumed
Ofrak has settled on the forest floor. And, unlike the Ofrak that are reborn after dying in battle, these Ofrak remain dead permanently. A good reason why the Ofrak now stay outside Eristy, preferring to harass the border patrol, Fein.
Only exceptionally powerful
Sorce Abilities Ofrak can resist the forest's absorbing powers, and even they are painfully weakened once passing the zone. Early in the war, Sorce Ofrak sacrificed huge portions of their light to allow their own kind entrance to the forest to conduct their killing spree operation, but on returning through the barrier, many of them were consumed. The loss proved too great to justify many excursions into Eristy.
This barrier is a powerful healing zone for Fein: refreshing tired bodies with rejuvenating light and regenerating nasty battle injuries.
The Guardian Angel
The forest guardian sometimes manifests as a physical presence when the need arises. She can heal indispensable Fein warriors or speak to King Toriel or Queen Gwendalor as a wise advisor.
Recently, The Fein has struggled with internal strife as a new clan of Fein Earth dwellers led by their self-proclaimed king, Milandro, has surfaced. This rebel king doesn't want to deal with the impracticalities of living in the trees and so turns to the Earth, setting up homes on the forest floor. This divided the Fein as the charismatic Milandro gave impassioned speeches, converting more to his cause to grow his army.
The Forest Guardian has refused to pick sides, and rumours say she has started communicating with Milandro, further growing his popularity.
