Emperor General

"Just as the ship pierces the horizon and the hunter pierces his quarry, the wisdom of the Emperor General pierces all they consider. Their Strength Beyond the Horizon."
- Imperial Poem Regarding the Majesty of the Emperor General.

Qualifications

The eldest child of the current Emperor General is accorded the right of succession, regardless of gender.

Requirements

No current age requirement is placed upon an Emperor General. Throughout the history of the Fa Empire the Emperor General has been a member of the original Fa Clan. Intermarrying within the clan was once common, however, in the last several hundred cycles the Fa Clan has allied itself into specific clans represented in the Royal Court.

Appointment

The rank of Emperor General is obtained upon the death of the previous Emperor General. The line of succession is plotted based upon age. The eldest child of the current Emperor General, regardless of gender, is typically appointed into the role upon the death of the current Emperor General.

Duties

The Emperor General is responsible for the decisions that guide the Fa Empire. While the Emperor General does have multiple advisors on the Royal Court the final decisions can, and do, depend upon the will of the Emperor General.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The person occupying the role of Emperor General is shrouded in mystery. Kept from the public eye, the costume of the Emperor General is meant to shroud their physical form. The Emperor General is usually attended by a hall of special servants who are responsible for obscuring them behind a traveling veil. The color and ornamentation of the veil changes depending upon season and occasion, yet the most common color of veil is a light blue embroidered with koi fish, the sigil of the Fa Clan.   Those who are deemed fortunate enough to lay eyes upon the Emperor General are forbidden to describe their physical appearance. Even fewer people know the true name of the Emperor General.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Unless the current Emperor General is stricken dead or assassinated the only way an Emperor General may leave their post is through abdication. This course of dismissal has never been chosen by any Emperor General in the history of the Fa Empire.
