Hylia is deity of the world. Legends speak that the Golden Goddesses entrusted Hylia to watch over the world. Legends also speak that during dark times, she will take a mortal form. It is said that Hylians are descendants of her mortal form, and it is from her name that their race is named after.
In art and literature, Hylia is depicted as a robed woman with wings.
