Keese
Keese are a species of flying bat-like creatures.
The word "Keese" is both the singular and plural form of the word, like "deer."
Basic Information
Anatomy
A keese's head is dominated by a large, single eye. A keese's wing "thumb" is a small but sharp claw.
Biological Traits
Some keese are known to be able to biologically produce elemental effects (such as fire, ice, and lightning) based on their surrounding environments.
Ecology and Habitats
Keese are very adaptive to their environments, being found in fridgid tundras, temerate climates, and around searing hot lava pools.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Keese are carnivorous and hunt for fresh meat. They typically hunt at night, but will also attack if approached while resting during the day. At night, it is common for keese to hunt in swarms. Keese are known for attacking creatures much larger than themselves, biting off a chunk of flesh and then quickly flying away in a hit-and-run manner.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Keese are able to "see" in total darkness by using echolocation.
