Octorok

Octoroks are a species of molluscs that are known for attacking by spitting rocks.

Anatomy

Despite their name, they only have four tentacles.

Biological Traits

Octoroks will dig for large stones or other solid objects that are relatively round and roughly the size of a small watermelon. They will ingest several of these rocks, which they will then spit with enough velocity to kill a person if struck in a vital area.

Ecology and Habitats

Octoroks tend to live in or near water (fresh or salt).

Dietary Needs and Habits

Octoroks are carnivores. They hunt fish while in water. On land, they are ambush predators, burrowing just under the surface of the ground, or staying just under the surface of water until it detects the presence of prey. It will then emerge and spit a rock at the prey, attempting to stun, injure, or kill it.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Octoroks are typically purple, but there have been blue and red skinned varieties observed.
