Dimensions

Running in parallel with the mortal realm are a series of separate dimensions and pocket spaces that exist in the universe. Some ancient, some new, many of them bizarre and different. There are possible a thousand different dimensions and magicians have only scratched the surface in connecting pathways to a handful of them. Each dimension could be rich with new resources, a reality where magicians can seek privacy and cultivate their skills, or even summoned allies made from pacts.

List of Known Dimensions

• • The Mirror World - A dimension that is a reverse reflection of the mortal realm, usually void of any human life. It's origins are currently unknown, some saying it was made as a private battleground by magicians in ancient times and still linger to this day. It is populated by monsters who travel and exist within the mirrors, sometimes leaping out of any reflective surface to kidnap a living prey for sustenance. Some of these Mirror Monsters can be bonded with in a pact as a combat summon or mystical ally.
  • Temple of the Monolith - Legend says it used to be this rare temple in the sky where people sought after in order to obtain a wish, often facing challenges hosted by strange spirits. Centuries have passed and it has been rendered into a lingering dimensional space consisting of a single temple. It is filled with many spirits that bear no form but a symbol and meaning. Those who access this dimension could form a pact or agreement with each spirit and call upon them to bring a small wish, such as protection, fending off an enemy, travelling far distance, or convincing someone's mind. Whenever these wishes are enacted the user are always struck with a compulsion such as eating flowers, drinking an absurd amount of water, or other acts and behaviors other find strange or terrifying.
• Banjou - A dimension full of giant monsters that are older than the Jieyuan Continent itself. It gives access to a large landmass divided into various environments of scorching desert, blistering winter, wet jungles, to even metal twisting magma. There are all sorts of giant monsters coined as Kaijus by the Seiyou. It is rumored that there are several dimensional gates that are connected in Seiyou by chance, hence the appearance of large monsters.
• Veixua - The Land of the Oracles in Xin tongue. The dimension has been discovered by Xin Magicians to carry a small population of blue-skinned beings with glowing long hair, all of them female by gender. The denizens of Veixua have shown great intelligence, clairvoyance, telepathy, and other psychic abilities that allow them to know near everything and to see through one's heart. Magical scholars who struggle with their studies or research sometimes travel to this dimension to seek their consultation. The dimension itself resembles an island floating in a sea of mercury and a castle housing the tribe of Veixua women. Any hostility would be quelled with their incredible mind bending ability and they have the ability to ban that person from their realm, or render them a vegetable if they are incredibly violent. There have been cases where clever scholars would trick a Veixua woman out of the realm, only to use her for personal gain with her psychic abilities.
• The Spirit Realm - The land of the dead, safeguarded by mysterious beings called Judges.
