Dwarves
The Dwarves are a proud and hardy people. Anchored in their faith of their God-King Borlus, they have withstood the natural elements, invaders, and infidels to carve a home for themselves within what they now call The Blessed Mesas. To them, Borlus is their god and father who shepherded them into consciousness and rose them from the very rock unto this world which they now inhabit. Of the earth himself, Borlus eventually returned to it. However, the blessings of Borlus live on through the mantle of God-King bestowed upon those Dwarves who are worthy enough. Only in title are the various God-Kings differentiated. Currently, God-King Borlus the Magnificent leads them in the defense of their lands from the Skittering Tide and the armies of the under-dwellers.
For the most part, the Dwarves have had a tenuous relationship with the Elves. While not outright hostile, they have had the occasional skirmish with Dwarven expeditions into their jungle, before their disappearance that is. On the other hand, they've had quite a warm alliance with the Labraxian Kingdom. They've fought side by side before and trade between the two flows freely. At least, it used to. Since the Skittering Tide has made the surface of The Blessed Mesas dangerous, trade has slowed significantly. Due to their recent troubles, pleas for aid have been made on both sides, but given their current situations, neither are able to aid the other.
