    Bael Star Impact
    Disaster / Destruction

    The Bael Star meteor makes impact in the Leodora region of the contenent of Xen, causing world scale devistant, and creating an ash cloud blaketing the entire planet for nearly two decades. The Hadean and Acheronian civilizations of Zen are wiped out overnight. Most other civilizations around the world decline or colapse in the ensuing years of darkness and cold.

    Emergence of the Deadlights
    Disaster / Destruction

    Approximately a year after impact twisted violent shadow creatures begin pouring en masse from the crater created by the Bael Star's impact, drawn to the Anima of living creatures. The few survivors of Xen suffer almost nightly attacks, the few remaining eventually forced to abandon the mainland to the creatures.

    The Age of Ice
    Geological / environmental event

    The lack of sunlight causes worldwide run-away global cooling, each year getting colder than the last, the ice caps slowly engulfing the land. mass extinction of countless species of flora and fauna. Estimated global human population total plunges between 80% to 95% reduction during next two millinia. Virtually all advanced technology is lost.

    The Sun peeks out from the cloud cover for the first time in two decades.   The settlement of Nova Aurora is founded on the island of Toma, one of the few warm places remaining in the world.

    The Chronical
    Life, Career

    Esta, the last known surviving scholar of Lost Acheron pens the Chronical; a seven volume compilation of texts encompassing and preserving all remaining knowledge and research of law, poetry, history, and science. The Chroniclers Reckoning calendar system, used to this day is derived from this work.

    Over the course of approximately 200 years a steady shift in climate results in a gradual increase in global temperatures. Glaciers recede, sea levels rise, average global temperatures stabilized five degrees higher then precataclysm levels.
