Queen Roth

Queen Roth "The Demon Queen" was known for cruelty and machiavellianism. The Queen's abuse of power is considered the main catalyst of The Queen's War, the largest conflict in Idyllian history which lead to the abolition of the monarchy and the formation of the republic. Roth is easily identified by her twisted arm which was a major source of insecurity. Anyone bold enough to point out the Queen's deformity would be systematically tortured by slowly having their arm twisted until the appendage was no more. Most victims of this exercise would die from the immense pain it caused. This was a technique originally devised by The Queen's father (but rarely used) to punish acts of high treason. During Roth's tenure as Queen the technique was employed 532 times on people her excellency and the Bureau for Preventing Un-Idyllian Activities marked as "political dissidents."

Mental characteristics

Gender Identity

Queen Roth famously hated being called "she" or "her" opting for the much prefered title of "Queen" or "Her Majesty". At first this seemed like an obsession over regal naming convention but as time progressed it became apparent that this was something more. The Queen stated on multiple ocassions "I am not a woman or a man, I am a Queen." The Queen experienced intense euphoria at having this title acknowledged even since childhood. Roth absolutely despised being called a princess. The Queen listed this as one of the many reasons her majesty personally tortured the King to death.   Idyllian Society is very accepting of transgenderism and gender fluidity because it is commonplace. Even MOGAI genders are accepted. But many aren't sure about the Queen's identity. It feels awkward to refer to a monarch you overthrew for their abuse of power as "her Majesty" but respect for another's individual identity is ingrained into Idyllian society. In other words, they just try not to talk too much about Queen Roth or if they do, many opt to use "they/them" pronouns instead and refer to Roth as "you-know-who" or "The Demon".

Sexuality

Roth preffered women. Roth made it clear to the King that her majesty wouldn't be producing an heir. The King himself was asexual so he tried numerous times to persuade Roth to suck it up and sleep with a someone of the opposite sex to bear a surrogate child for the sake of carrying on the royal line like he did. Roth, if it wasn't already obvious, didn't care much for his opinion.

Mental Trauma

Famously, Roth's first taste of torture was at the hands of her father when her majesty originally tried to overthrow him and was ruthelessly punished by having her arm twisted. The King couldn't finish his own child off though so he stopped and had mercy. Roth didn't view it that way, so from that moment on her majesty doubled down on cruelty.

Intellectual Characteristics

Roth is famously deceptive, this comes from her majesty's observant and distrustful nature. Roth could not have trapped so many dissident nobles in her majesty's own palace without employing clever strategies.

Morality & Philosophy

Roth is naturally distrustful of people. Her majesty doesn't believe in fairness or might makes right. Instead Roth believed that fate was in control of all things, and her majesty had no control whatsoever over how long they would reign or what they would accomplish. Instead Roth lived for doing what made them happy, torturing and slaughtering people for fun.
