Oolithia

Oolithia is the Plane of Lawful Destruction. Buried deep beneath rock and metal lies the many layered prison. It is guarded by the Thrones, one of the hierarchies of Seraphim. Souls sent here must serve a sentence equal to what has been judged before they can be judged once more to see if they may leave.

The Eternal Prison

The prison consists of seven layers, each which includes punishments worse than the layer above it.

Lake Phlegethon

This burning lake is the place that the The River Styx reaches Oolithia. The Ferryman Charon brings souls across the lake to the docks of Oolithia where prisoners are then assigned a punishment and a sentence. A soul attempting to cross the lake without the Ferry or other divine means is burned in the lake. What this means for a soul is undetermined. While in Oolithia it appears as though arcane magic does not function. The burning lake Phlegethon is the first place this effect seems to occur.

The Gate of Thorns

Once across Phlegethon, a soul reaches the docks and the Gate of Thorns. Here are found another hierarchy of Seraphim, the Oolatar. The Oolatar passes judgment on all who pass through the gates and determine the layer in which the souls are sent and for how long. Once that time has been reached, the soul is then brought again before the Oolatar to be passed judgment once more, where they have a chance to meet the Three Judges once again. However, a soul may never make it out of their sentence and instead will eventually return to the Deep Ethereal.

Layer 1: Prison of Isolation

Those who are sentenced to this layer caused the destruction of objects. For their punishment, they put into rooms without things and people. From the inside, the cells appear to be completely white and cannot be seen out of. From the outside one can clearly see the individual. These cells are aligned symmetrically, each is separated by a set amount.

Layer 2: Prison of Crystal Shards

Individuals who cause destruction to other's bodies are sent to this layer. They are released into a forest where everything is made of incredibly sharp crystals, the trees, the grass, even the creatures. Chasing souls are massive crystalline creatures. They hunt the souls, forcing them to run through the sharp forest.

Layer 3: Prison of Nightmares

This layer is for those souls who have destroyed the minds of others. These individuals do not require cells, instead, they are magically suspended while their minds are completely consumed. At various locations in the layer are the Oolirage. These creatures are the ones that suspend the prisoners and induce hallucinations that are their own personal nightmares.

Layer 4: Prison of Memories

This layer is reserved for those who cause destruction to another's soul. This layer is where many necromancers end up after misusing their powers. Here they are forced to experience numerous lifetimes in a simulated environment, retaining the memories of those lifetimes across them. Each lifetime is usually different and often contains some destructive force during that lifetime. A single lifetime lived this way only lasts a day or so and is aided by an Oolaruth, which induces such simulations.

Layer 5: Prison of Wandering

This level appears to be a neverending plane, where the prisoners are forced to wander. The lands are barbaric with everything attempting to hunt down and kill everything else. The souls forced to walk this layer are forced into a weakened state, requiring them to always be on the move and never being able to set up a home. This layer is dedicated to those who have destroyed societies.

Layer 6: Prison of Elements

For those who have destroyed an environment (instances like the Dragon Scar) are doomed to exist in an environment that is found most miserable for that individual. This layer has every known possibility for environments and are usually contained within extradimensional spaces.

Layer 7: Prison of Stars

This final layer of Oolithia is the most isolated prison of them all. Each "cell" is an extradimensional space in which a single prisoner is held. The only entrance to that cell exists within this layer. To the mortal mind, this layer appears as a long hallway with a series of locked doors, each with symbols on them designating the prisoner within.   This layer is reserved for the largest of threats and a place that usually the gods have an intervention in having one sent here. What else gets a soul trapped in this layer and what else is enprisoned here is a mystery.
