Tiverstone

Balan opened his eyes. He felt like he had slept for a very long time. Balan had awoken standing up in the middle of a beautiful garden. Fountains of sparkling water streamed from statues of beautiful men and women with bowls and pottery. All of made from perfectly carved marble. The statues of the people were life-like.   Balan tried to move but found his joints incredibly stiff. He forced his body to move. When his arms finally gave out, he heard a cracking noise. There was a clattering as small pebbles of marble landed on marble. Balan looked at his own hand. It was made of marble.   He tried to scream but realized that his mouth was closed, and his jaw wouldn't move. He forced the rest of his body to move. Balan was filled with panic. He stumbled off of the pedastel that he'd been placed on. There had to be an explanation for his predicament. Why couldn't he remember how he got there? Why was he covered in marble...or was he marble? Someone had to be able to explain this.   His footsteps echoed through the garden. His movement was heavy and restricted. Balan stumbled a few times trying to make his way through the labyrinthine garden. He saw a massive building with pillars of marble. There had to be someone there who could tell him what was going on.   Balan stumbled his way onto the front steps. The inside was filled with beautiful furniture and artwork. More marble statues and carvings. The first room was open to the elements, the top of the pillars had the appearance of people holding up the roof of the mansion. They disturbed Balan.   Inside he could hear the chiseling of stone. Balan followed the sounds through the mansion. In an open room with large slabs of uncut marble was a man carving at a slab. His skin was purple, and he had ram horns on the sides of his head. He wore a pair of spectacles and an apron. Behind him was a tail that ended in a barb. The man looked up at Balan.   "Oh dear." He set down his chisel and hammer. "It seems another one has awoken."   He walked to Balan and looked him over. "It seems you've suffered some damage." He turned away. "Follow me."   Balan felt his body move. He wasn't opposed to this movement, but it wasn't at his command. He followed the mysterious horned man as they descended. Soon he heard the sounds of picks hitting stone. They entered a marble mine where the miners were other statues like himself.   "Pick up a tool and get to work. I needed a replacement anyway." The man started to walk out of the room. Balan reached out to him with an arm. "Oh, still have a little bit of spirit do you?"   Balan saw the man's eyes glow a dim golden color. He felt his mind constrict. It was like someone put iron bands around his brain and was squeezing it. Balan collapse to the ground gripping his head in his stiff hands.   "Think about that pain while you work. A reminder of what happens if you stop."   Balan picked up a chisel and got to work. The Devil Lord Azamin returned to his work.

Geography

Tiverstone is one of the smallest islands in Arcadia. The island is covered in carved flat marble surfaces with fountains and marble statues. At its center is a majestic palace carved in marble where Azamin lives.

Fauna & Flora

All of the flora of Tiverstone are all decorative and none that originate from Tiverstone itself. The only living beings on Tiverstone are Azamin and his Living Marble Statues.

Natural Resources

The interior of Tiverstone is pure marble. This marble is restored thanks to the Great Cycle of the Outer Layers and mined by the Living Marble Statues that have become damaged and less "beautiful" by Azamin's eyes.
