Wandering Author

I guess I'll start on how I ended up here. In my time in the Old World I was a renowned storyteller. From early childhood on I was always out and about "adventuring" and telling my dad about these adventures when I got home way after curfew. He was always too loving to be mad at me, listening to my stories until deep into the night.

My Job

Scarlett Rose

I grew up to do exactly as I did as a child: wander the world to seek stories to tell the world. Originally from a continent we called "Cavligor", I went in every cavern, dark forest, flower field and joined all sorts of adventuring groups in pursuit of stories to tell. I got better, not only as an author, publishing under the name of "Scarlett Rose", but also became quite a good bard and fighter. I sought out places more mysterious than the one before, so after years of travelling, I could not keep myself away from the Abyss. I became a Pitwalker and started uncovering secrets and lost treasure in the abyss. It was a dream come true. Dangerous work in unknown lands full of ancient artifacts. I climbed the ranks to be permitted further down into the pit, and so I did.

The Fall

We don't have to go into detail as to how I fell... Let's just say I have a score to settle back home alright. After falling through the Passage to the New World I found myself here. A welcome change in expectation I tell you, not being dead after falling down a what must have been several thousand feet deep hole. The lady that greeted me was very creepy, giving me a brief overview of what this world is. Although I was shocked, I was not devastated as seemingly most New Souls are. I've heard a lot about shifting planes and other worlds, and was excited at the thought of this opportunity.

My Student Life

I joined the Rox Academics as a Beastiarian. Reason for this is simply so I have excuses to be at the forefront of new discoveries and recon missions. I thought that if I became a Beastiarian, my expertise on wild animals would land me somewhere huge, and it paid off.

Joining a Soulventure

Late into my first year at the academy, in which I scored under the top students of my class, I was scouted by a bunch of Soulventures to join their endeavors, but none really spoke to me. I either refused because their goals misaligned from mine or I scared them off with my drive to danger. So it happened that I was among the independants until alte despite my skillset.

The Magiseekers

A saving grace for my professional explorer dreams. The Magiseekers, one of the most promising Soulventures had yet to fill their position of Beastiarian, since their leader, Kate Lyra Langridge was very selective and critical towards the people she invites. I talked to her a few times and after laying bare that I wanted to join a Soulventure that would be taking huge initiatives, big risks and wouldn't back down from anything, she let me try out. I did good (acceptable in her words), and officially joined at the end of first year.

Our Dynamic

I can only say great things about the Magiseekers thus far. They let me do my own thing, indulge in my work, marvel at new discoveries, fulfill my desire for knowledge, while I helped them uncover secret after secret about this world. A win-win really.

Trip Into My Mind

Writing about myself feels weird, but I'll try to do it like I would describe a character from my stories... Scarlett Rosalie Wedge is a chaotic satyr that expresses herself through every facet of writing. She is more timid than your average satyr, but comes to life thrice as much if put in her element.

Socializing

Scarlett definitely found her people. To strangers she often comes across extreme, in one of two ways: either extremely shy and quiet, or extremely loud and borderline obnoxious. The one thing she has going for her is her desire to explore, even though the root of that desire lies somewhere different than for most. With this common character trait she gets by social interactions fairly neutral.
