The Church of the Crystal's Light

As many of the people of Drannith passed through this world of flesh, and this crystal beacon who brought power and safety ever watched over the sanctuary, they began to see it as something more than a gift. A savior, perhaps, one who would show us the way with its guiding light, and so was founded, the Church of Guiding Light. It was founded with a Lightguide, who would watch from the walls and see all that was bathed in these crystal's lights, where they would then write all of this into the Book of Guiding Light. The goal was to let this person, who would guide all others, see all that the Argalith's light has touched, and so can lead the people with the knowledge of everything that the light had touched for all time. This was a disputed artifact, and many who believed the Argalith a false beacon that drew monsters to the city attempted to destroy it, so that their people could look ahead instead of behind. Their original attempts were failures, but nonetheless it was decided that an order be formed to protect the Argalith and its followers. The Glowkeepers were formed, an order of paladins who took an oath to protect the Argalith and the first ring. They can be found patrolling the city at all hours, a seemingly endless shifting as the paladins make their rounds. The church takes home in the first ring of Drannith, and mostly against the wall, but has a straight path towards the crystal that ends in a large windowless room, known as the Refractory. This room is used solely by the Lightguide, and chosen Glowkeepers. It is said that the patterns that can be seen in the room reflect directly from the Argalith's connection that runs into the earth- and that one can see events of the future when they know how to read them.
