Belka
As the proud capital of Belaklara, Belka is a city that embodies the plutocratic ideals of its nation. With a greater focus on beauty than functionality, and architecture that models itself off of the great Brahmsgrov, Belka is a testament to the powers of wealth and luxury, powers that, unfortuantely, few ever have access to.
Many people around Belaklara see the capital as a land of opportunity. Many dream of a voyage to this decadent city, a place where they can finally achieve the status and influence that they've seen all their lives. But past the massive gates and impressive ports in the front of town, the bleak reality becomes painfully clear. The divide between the poor and wealthy is an uncrossable chasm in Belka, and the benefits of this plutocratic system seem to slip past a large amount of its residents. The elites pride themselves on giving back to community by erecting large defenses and hiring protective guards. But, one may argue that they're only protecting their own hides, as any damage to the port city's booming economy could spell disaster for their investments. Still, Belka is one of the most impressively constructed cities in all of the Salamander Coast, and it's easy for most to forget their troubles and take in all the beauty.
Tourism
Many people visit hear! it's nice and pretty so why not? and not too far for the surrounding towns for a getaway (if they can afford it so some people probably have been saving up). The history of this town is based strongly on the port. They make some of the best and fastest ships on the salamander coast. they benefit from trade and giving resources to the smaller towns. That's how they became so wealthy. Trade and ease of access to foreign things.
