Boitha
A carnivorous squirrel-like creature first discovered in the western mountain range on the continent of Haer-Boitha. While it may look adorable, its not recomended to get close to this creature.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The boitha's natural weapons consist of its fangs and the three incredibly sharp claws, located on all 4 paws. While naturally a quadrepedal creature, they will often sit on their hind legs to survey or eat food. Their large, bushy tails are used for both balance, but have also been observed to be part of their mating rituals. These fuzzy creatures also sport a mane, much like that of a lion.
Ecology and Habitats
The first recorded sightings of the Boitha were in The Heartstone Mountains as early as 71 FA. Since then, a subspecies of the Boitha was also found living in The Cagewichs that was more suited to burrowing underground than running through the trees and cliffs of the mountains. Along with this, other less varied subspecies have been found across the entire continent, however not in quite the same quantity.

Social Structure
Boithas are known to have a very communal lifestyle. They appear to settle in communities of 15-40 members. When their community is threatened they fight in a coordinated effort to defend themselves, much like a pack of wolves would.
