Firbolg
The Firbolg are the species that makes up the Aluit culture. Reclusive and calm, these large humanoids gather together as tribes deep within their forests. While not prone to violence, they are formidible when provoked, attacking their foes with both steel and spell.

Ecology and Habitats
The Firbolg are one of the few species to be adapted to living in the cold tempuratures experienced near the poles of Illicid. As lovers of forests, Firbolgs are almost solely found in the cold confierous woods located near the mountain ranges of the far southern and northern continents of Illicid.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Firbolg are said to possess the strength of a forest bear. Beyond their sheer physical strength, they have innate magical abilities. Among these innate abilities are rumoured to be the ability to sense magical auras, magically change their appearance, regenerate, or even turn themselves invisible.
Along with this they have also displayed an uncanny ability to communicate with the beasts of the land, and even the land itself at times.

Naming Traditions
Firbolgs don't really use names, the concept of it is peculiar to them. They will take elven names when dealing with outsiders however, and they'll also use nicknames they might be given by others. Everything else in their lives is usually referred to by their actions.
