Morrowgale

A mad sorcerer who practiced the forbidden magics. For over two centuries he ruled the western provinces of Merboitha in opposition to the King until eventually the armies of Merboitha, led by The Freemen of Duunir, rose up against him. Although the battle was fierce, Morrowgale and his followers were defeated on the slopes of the Western Reaches, now named The Heartstone Mountains. Morrowgale, however, escaped into the mountains. While his body has never been found, the evil presence that had surrounded the land faded and most believe that he perished in the mountains.
