Halfling Hills

Government

The halflings have a true democracy. Any issues that can't be solved by smaller communities are taken to the Halfling Council. The Council also makes decisions on behalf of Halfling Hills as a country.

Defences

The halflings have allied themselves closely with the Kingdom of Eastvale, and are under the protection of the King. Each town also has a Scramble Horn, a loud horn that can be heard up to 20 miles away. If one of these is blown, the halflings from all surrounding towns will scramble away from the threat while Troops from Eastvale march toward it.

Infrastructure

Halflings love building roads so they can visit each other faster and more efficiently. Roads connect all of their little towns directly, even when it would be easier to do it a different way. The halflings also do not name their towns, so Halfling Hills is filled with tons of tiny, unnamed hamlets. The only town with a name is their capitol, Baywick.

Tourism

Halfling Hills is a popular place to go for a relaxing vacation, especially due to the idyllic nature of halfling society. The only problem being that the accommodations tend to be smaller than necessary for "big folk" (as the halflings call them).  Hobbit Lake is an especially popular vacation place.
