Early Years

Born in the shadows of a legacy that stretched back over two millennia, Ariel Semimur had enormous shoes to fill from the moment of her birth. As the 13th direct descendant of Arisha Semimur, the founder of the Blademaidens, Ariel always felt the weight of history upon her shoulders. Growing up in the fortified stronghold of Fool's March, she listened to the tales of her foremothers, including her own mother Aeuroa, and dreamt of the glories and trials they faced. Under the vigilant eye of Aeuroa, Ariel began her training as a Blademaiden at a tender age.

Time of Peace

However, Ariel's coming-of-age coincided with a period of relative peace in Illyria. The horrors of the Undying War and the trials against the Korgath Horde were stories of the past, and the Blademaidens' role had shifted more towards maintaining order and aiding in local disputes rather than waging wars. This transformation of the Blademaidens from warriors to peacekeepers meant that Ariel, unlike her ancestors, found herself with limited combat experience.
This lack of experience became a source of internal struggle for Ariel. She often grappled with a sense of inadequacy and yearned for an opportunity to prove herself. Though highly trained and bearing the same unyielding spirit of her predecessors, Ariel often wondered if she had the mettle to uphold the legacy of the Blademaidens in the face of a real threat.

Preparing Herself

Outside the training yards and council halls, Ariel was known for her curiosity. She often explored the vast libraries of Fool's March with her trust red hawk Rojar, reading about ancient tactics, diplomacy, and the broader history of the world. These readings fueled her desire to expand the role of the Blademaidens, adapting them to the new challenges of a changing world. Ariel believed that while combat prowess was vital, the future of the order might well depend on diplomacy, knowledge, and understanding the evolving world around them.
When the time comes to lead the Blademaidens, she will be ready.
