Imperial Rights

A catastrophe falls upon your homeland. The continent in tatters, peninsulas sinking into the sea, thunderstorms flattening forests, valleys collapsing, the flow of rivers ceasing, the land itself perishing. In this time of need, the Empire stands as the final civilization that could stand tall enough to organize an evacuation on a continental scale.   No more is the Empire able to serve as a bastion for the peoples, as the bastion must now become the conqueror. Months at sea, the evacuation--now known as the Exodus--has entered great peril as storms wrack the ships, monsters of the deep pull them down, and starvation spreads like a plague. Finally, a new land is upon the horizon, and there's no more room for discourse.   The vanguard of the Imperial military, in this time of peril, prepares themselves for an invasion the likes of which this new land has never before seen.
