Zoathra

The Hag

Zoathra is a wild healer outside the burg of Fair Meadows. Though her healing abilities are venerated, she has a reputation of being aloof, stern, and a bit crazy. The locals in the area call her 'The Hag', somewhat tongue-in-cheek.
If a parent believes their child is feigning illness to stay home from school or to shirk their chores, the child is threatened with a visit to 'the hag'. Usually, the illness disappears straight away (even if the child truly is ill).
In addition to healing services, Zoathra is a renowned herbalist and alchemist, offering a creative variety of potions and lotions and blessings and hexes.

On the Reincarnation of Bing

Zoathra presided over the reincarnation proceedings of Bing IronBlade, sucessfully bringing him back from death and latching his spirit to the body of a young gnome. After the rest of the party went back to Fair Meadows, awaiting for Bing to recover, Zoathra tricked Bing into drinking a concoction to help calm his mind, which was perfectly reasonable considering the jarring physical and mental transformation from human to gnome. After a long draught of the elixer, Bing realized he had consumed a potion of paralytic.
With Bing defenseless, unable to even cry out a meek whimper, Zoathra tattooed an intrictate pattern across his neck, comprised of four sinusoidal waves, horizontally spanning, and all a different color and out of phase. At the anterior, the phase of the lines aligned, and at this intertwining, a vertical oval with a red border overlayed the juncture.
As Bing struggled to free himself from his paralytic state, eyes wide with terror , the hag leaned toward his left side and whispered:

In kindness and humility your strength lies. Give your trust to a draconion, when the need arises, and you will be freed.
