Bing IronBlade
Honorable Knight Commander
Bing is a Knight Commander of the Legion of Steel.
As a Gnome
While attempting to protect a band of adventurers on Rubik's quest to investigate the concerning dwindling dragon population, Bing was ignominiously eaten by a Behir. His party members, overcome by their great grief, all pitched in and paid for the cost of the re-incarnation, at the hands Zoathra, the regional healer, who resided in the woods outside of Fair Meadows. Bing was re-incarnated as a gnome. Zoathra tricked Bing and inked onto his neck strange symbols and whispered to Bing a personal message while he was paralyzed. Upon regaining his faculties, the hag was no-where to be found.Human Years
He was getting along in years, and his superiors had suggested that since he has been passed over promotion twice in the past five years, his time in the Legion would be quickly drawing to a close. After all, the Legion's interests are for young blood, and room must be made for those advancing. The discharge would be honorable and filled with accolades, as Bing is a war hero of the War of the Lance (just ask him!), but Bing was not yet ready to join Aged Adventurers Retired Persons just yet! Bing knew he must obtain the next rank in the Legion, Knight Centurion, in which he would lead strategy cells and act as a general to over 100 junior knights. However, his chances were slim, as there is a younger and (gasp!) more accomplished candidate, Garth Steel-Blade. When Bing heard rumors of a quest to unravel the mystery of the disappearing dragons, he jumped at the opportunity, and pulled a few strings to be assigned. Bing was hopeful that a good showing will buoy his prospects of promotion.Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Bing suffered a grievous wound to his left hip (gluteus medius) from the darkened spear of a draconian chieftain during the War of the Lance. The poison has damaged muscle and ligaments, beyond repair of even the best healers, leaving Bing with a constant reminder of the pain of the War and with a noticeable limp.
Personality Characteristics
Virtues & Personality perks
Bing has a close relationship with his celestial war-steed, Triton. They share an empathic link up to one mile.
Vices & Personality flaws
Bing doesn't actually know how many draconians he has killed in the war. He believes it is around 150, but can't be sure. It is certainly over a 100 and less than 200 hundred. It is difficult to keep track in the chaos and grime of battle. Some of his peers in the Legion believe he exaggerates his battle prowess. The fact that Bing brings up his kill count in every conversation doesn't help.
On the truthfulness of his draconian count, there is only one entity that truly knows, his trusted war-steed, Triton.
