Ro'van

Swaddled among murky estruaries and marshlands fed by the monumental Merkosta mountains, Ro'van is the cosmopolitan and dynamic capital of The Confederation of Priskipsa. Originally founded by Besvaii traders sometime around 500 BA, it developed a strong independent fervor as the Novosti Empire rose up around it. Becoming highly fortified and well defended by the muddy marshlands all around it, it held out against the Novosti onslaught for decades before eventually falling. This fierce sense of independence, combined with its importance as a trade entrepôt continued to bring waves of refugees and immigrants seeking the safety and tolerance the city offered.
