Leobwin was pretty fit from living in the wilderness and providing for himself for so long. He an angular face with a softly shaped jaw, a large nose, and thin lip. His arms are toned and he has slender torso with lightly defined muscles and a narrow waist,

Leobwin has a very noticeable birthmark on the left side of his face that curves under his ear and runs across his cheek.

Personal history

Leobwin was born in a small village in the mountains of Tasnal. His childhood was filled with ridicule and hostility because of the large birthmark on his face as in that region of the world a birthmark symbolized being marked by demons. His parents provided him with the bare minimum of food and clothing and were very clear they only allowed him to sleep in the house with them and the rest of their siblings was because the divine beings would punish them for turning on their own flesh and blood. When he turned 14, Leobwin had finally had enough, and left his small village to live in the forests. After a few weeks of travel, he came across a small clearing that had a lake in the center. It was here on the bank's of the lake that he built his cabin. It was here a year later, that a Goddess appeared before him saying his suffering had been a test and he had proven himself worthy to learn the secrets of Rune Casting. Up until that moment, runes were only symbols fashioned into necklaces or painted on shields, passed down through families that believed the emblem would protect them or provide them luck or provide some other kind of benefit. Anyone outside of the family line could not benefit from the symbol and depending on how they acquired it, for example taking it through force, would suffer the exact opposite effect. The goddess explained that by drawing a rune in the shape of the birthmark on his face in combination with another symbols he could use that runes at will. She encouraged him to go out into the world and find runes that could be combined with his Spirit Rune. And so, he set out, following tales of families and people with runic symbols that blessed them. It took a few years, but Leobwin was able to amass a small collection of runes: healing, ice, fire, and earth. With these confirmed to work, he began using runes to heal people and help people in other ways. As word spread of his feats, some considered Leobwin to be a demon in disguise and would prevent him from entering their town, village, or city. Others, however, sought him out to learn Rune Casting for themselves. Fearing what would happen if someone learned rune casting out of greed, Leobwin agreed to only teach children whom he believed he could pass on his beliefs about keeping rune casting a free service. Not wanting any nation to think he was preferring one over the others, he took the children to his cabin as his home country of Tasnia wholy believed his abilities were further proof he had been marked by a demon. Initially, he was able to succeed in imparting his beliefs onto his students. However, as they grew older, and he allowed them to go out and use their abilities to help people a few, notably Otwin Theudemar, Amelina Humbert, and Solange De Verley, began talking about how they should sell their services for a price. The price they spoke of was relatively small, just a few coppers, but Leobwin staunchly opposed this as he could see how easy it would be for nobles to offer more coin and get service faster than a poor farmer could. Gradually, the minor dispute grew to frequent arguments, and Otwin, Amelina, and Solange had been joined by Blaise Rouzet, Eliose Bain, Folcher Chlothar Osanna De Rege, and Rosmunda Blackwell. Finally, tension reached a boiling point and the students Leobwin had been arguing with as well as a few others who either had their own opinions on the matter or had fallen under the influence of their more charismatic peers. Despite his advanced age, Leobwin continued seeking out new students and stoking the imagination and passion of the students who stayed behind. Then, one day the people living near his cabin began reporting not seeing him or any of his other students for a while and went to investigate. They found his cabin and the structures he built for his students seemingly abandoned and no sign of them. As word spread that Leobwin was missing or possibly dead along with his remaining students, Amelina Humbert, Blaise Rouzet, Eliose Bain, Folcher Chlothar, Osanna De Rege, Otwin Theudemar Rosmunda Blackwell, and Solange De Verley left their now built academy to find out more. No one is sure what they discovered or did, but they emerged after a few days saying they believed their teacher to be dead and declaring Leobwin's Cabin a sacred site. Additionally, they were able to convince the people living near the cabin to relocate to the new kingdom of Aryia. With this, all knowledge of the cabin's location disappeared. Curiosity remained about the fate of Leobwin and his remaining students for a few decades before that too was lost to time.
