Holger Muspa is the Earl of Godt Hjem and leader of Clan Muspa. He is a devious man with a hunger for wealth and power. He is so power hungry he married Lydia of Alton, a 15 year old girl because of her powerful ancestors. The marriage was only agreed to because he promised fighting men and food to Alton, and even then it wasn't very willing.
Earl Holger has never seen battle in all his years of life. He just shows up to war meetings to look like a powerful figurehead As a boy he was challenged to a holmgang over a love dispute and was beaten bloody, rather than accepting death like most of his kin would have, he begged and pleaded for his life, disgracing the holmgang and himself. He was only spared because he was the heir of Clan Muspa.
Holger has an infant son of his own. He praises the adores the boy as he carries the blood of the dragon within him. Holger is positive his boy was chosen by the gods for greatness. Only time will tell.
