Jacob
Jacob is a "young" vampire, or at least the youngest at court. When he was nineteen he was attacked by a vampire on the hunt. The attacking vampire did not intend to turn Jacob but messed up on the feeding process, so the boy turned into a creature of the night. His new powers overwhelmed him, when his first hunger struck he fed off his own mother and sister, killing them both. Horrified, Jacob ran from his home, never to return. He hunted on his own for a few years, trying to understand himself. Eventually he stumbled across Lord Mordred's court.
The court viewed him as weak and pathetic, they voted to kill him. Jacob pleaded, claiming he would do whatever it takes to prove himself. He was pitted in a duel against another member of the court. When he won(he almost didn't) he was accepted into the court.
Jacob might have accepted who he is but he hates himself for it. He has taken on the practice of fasting, so he only feeds on people when needed. He often feeds off of animals rather than people. The only problem with this is that animal blood is not as filling, but Jacob is determined to stick to this diet.
