Otar The Dishonored
Otar Crimson
Otar spent the majority of his life in his home city of Kadune. His clan, the Crimsons, were known throught the city as common sellswords, lacking in honor and true skill. Otar's father, Raj, was known as The Crimson Dagger.
Growing up, Otar had no choice but to learn how to fight, but he did not have the same passion of simple coin. He saw how people looked at him when he walked through the streets, with hatred and fear. One day he could bear no more, and enlisted as a city gaurd, without saying a word to his family.
Otar did well as a guard, and was given a sense of purpose. He would serve in the gaurd for 13 years, until he was promoted to Soldier. He and his troop gaurded the coast from Kadune to Vorodorom, driving off Viking incursions everyso often.
Otar continued to rise through the ranks, earning fame. So much so that one day, Chieftain Jadesh Bloodfang appointed him to General of the city, and his army. The hate that people once threw Otar's way began to fade. On the Darkest Day, King Vexus called on all of the tribes, and he led the Quadhaadin soldiers into the fray outside of Xares on The Darkest Day. After which he was praised for his valor.
But after The Darkest Day, things in the city would begin to sour. The Chieftain already had many taxes on trade even before the war had broken out, but after, he has nearly trippled them, dwindling the amount of supplies that can enter that city. Some of his advisors spoke out against it, and Otar was ordered to execute them--which he did, but in his heart Otar felt everything was wrong, and one day he spoke up too.
Jadesh would not kill him, but he stripped Otar of his title and his weath. Otar lived on the streets for a time, getting further and further into a bottle. He grouped up with many recently homeless citizens, and formed a plan. In an abandoned military bunker, under the city streets. He built The Den, a safehaven for travelers, and the homless. Where anyone can find a place to rest.
Now keeping The Den running, and staying out of sight are Otar's greatest concerns.
