Axainadrax Paralysis
The Axainadrax has a powerful venomous bite that causes a sense of paralysis to slowly spread from the site of the wound out in all directions.
Transmission & Vectors
Axainadrax Paralysis is the result of a unique venom carried in the saliva of the Axainadrax, Fortunately, the turqoise drake instinctively targets limbs (especially legs), otherwise the venom would be introduced much closer to vital organs, giving far less time for the patient to reach a Magus capable of countering it.
Symptoms
Immediately after a bite, the venom causes a short term burning sensation that quickly fades away to numbness. This numbness spreads over time, and within the next hour or so, the wounded limb becomes very difficult to use effectively, reducing a person to a slow limping walk or to only being able to weakly hold things with that hand.
By the next day, the patient's wounded limb will be completely paralyzed. Over the course of the following week, the paralysis slowly spreads through the torso, until it reaches a vital organ like the diaphragm or heart, at which point the patient will die as that organ ceases to function.
Treatment
There is no mundane cure to Axainadrax paralysis - a magical cure is the only viable option. Making matters worse, the venom seems to resist the restorative spells used to treat it, particularly the lesser, more commonly available kind. These lesser restorations can certainly provide comfort to the patient, and often slow the spread of the paralysis or partially reverse its progress, but rarely are enough to defeat the venom entirely. Even a greater restoration only has about a 50% chance of working on its first application, though it is guaranteed to reverse the damage caused by several days of the spreading paralysis.
If magical intervention is not available, amputation of the effected area is the only hope for survival. As the venom spreads through the paralyzed tissue, however, it is necessary to remove the entirety of the effected area, so this decision must be made within hours of the initial injury, or the venom will reach the torso and it will be impossible to achieve the desired effect without killing the patient.

I always like to see magical "evolution" and adaptation in fantasy worlds. This is a good one.
