Knights of the Last Wall

The Knights of the Last Wall are an order of Sword Brethren, elite among the elite. Originally composed of those Iron Templars who went to answer the Imperial Fists' call for aid in the War of the Beast (the "Last Wall" protocol), membership to this order is now one of the highest honorifics a Templar can be awarded.
Forsaking the standard designations of the chapter, brethren inducted into the Knights of the Last Wall are given the designation "Wall Brother", and they are permitted to wear the gold and back seal of the Imperial Fists on their left pauldron. 
Also uniquely among the Iron Templars, Wall Brethren give up all ambition and hope of advancement to Master, Grand Master, or other command ranks. The Knights are a solemn, solitary order, and once the Vow is taken to protect the walls of Terra, a Templar is a Wall Brother for the rest of his life.
