Human

Era of the Neverending Day:

"These humans are like cattle. Only good for labor. The few that have their freedom must be taken as slaves. Yanem will burn, and the humans will kneel before the wrath of the Pracaborgian elves. Now bring me the human sultan's head"

Era of Peace:

After the fall of Al-Bassad, a catastrophic event that almost wiped out the human population, the survival of humans hinged on the benevolence of the elves. The elven kindreds played a pivotal role in aiding the recovery and revival of humanity, preventing their extinction. Thanks to the elves' intervention and compassion, humans managed to maintain a reasonable population level, although they became fundamentally altered in the process.   Over time, intermingling between elves and humans became commonplace, leading to the vast majority of humans carrying elven blood in their veins. Almost every human in the land of Isadril, known for its diverse population of races, has some degree of elven ancestry. Pureblood humans, those without any elven heritage, have become exceedingly rare, with only three known families said to possess this lineage.   The blending of elven and human characteristics resulted in humans becoming more physically diverse than other common races. There is no "typical" human appearance in Isadril. Individuals can vary significantly in height, ranging from 5 feet to just over 6 feet, and weight, spanning between 125 to 250 pounds. Their skin shades cover a wide spectrum, from nearly black to very pale, while hair colors range from jet black to shimmering blond.   Pureblood humans, despite their rarity, have a shorter lifespan, living up to around 60 years. However, the 1/8th elf human hybrids, those with a trace of elven ancestry, are blessed with longevity, capable of living up to a century. Over the ages, these 1/8th elf human hybrids became the standard human population known today, where their appearance no longer bears any resemblance to the elves.   With their lineage entwined with elves and their propensity for migration and conquest, humans have established their own kingdom in the south, known as the Kingdom of Garabon. In Isadril, they also possess a significant presence in the Riverlands, where they govern and hold lands. However, in the Northern part of Isadril, humans have their own ancient lands, Skarfvall. These islands were the original homeland of the first humans, and despite their relatively smaller numbers, the kingdom of Skarfvall remains the largest of the human settlements.   Throughout Isadril, humans have integrated themselves into the diverse tapestry of races and cultures. Their history, closely intertwined with the elves, is a testament to their resilience and adaptability. Though the days of pureblood humans are long gone, their legacy lives on through the vibrant and diverse human population that thrives in the lands of Isadril.
