Dwarves

Born of stone and ore, these Kanoia were born from those in the Empyrean who felt that worshiping the Qalani was not enough to regain their glory. The Cavernborn are a sturdy folk who settle in Qalani ruins deconstructing them and any artifacts they find in order to learn the methods that they were built. These methods have found them at odds with the Elves and due to the irrevocable differences of how these people seek to attain the Empyrean favor, they may war with each other until their own end...
 

Known as "Tas-Halk," or the “Gem Folk” in their tongue reside primarily in the ancient caverns and ruins found deep underground or in mountains where the ruins of Qalani can be found. Of the all the Cavernborn the Dwarves are the best treated by the Kanoia who live in without a ceiling whom they call, “Skyborn.” Steadfast in their resolve, the Ironfolk will stand side by side to protect what is theirs.

Dwarves

Starting Skill: Dwarves start with one rank in Mechanics. You still cannot train their Mechanics above rank 2 during character creation.   Darkvision: When making skill checks, Dwarves remove up to two setback imposed due to darkness.   Tough as Nails: Once per session, a Dwarf may spend a Story Point as an out-of-turn incidental immediately after suffering a Critical Injury and determining the result. If they do so, count the rolled result as “01.
