Cicero and Anastasia visit Ivana, Ivan, Kaz, and Opal in Last Stone to catch up and inform them of the quest to save Evgenii.

Cicero and Anastasia inform the Alleeva's at Last Stone what's going on with the battle against Castygy and updates on their uncle Moreska and sister Evgenii. Anastasia was planning on requesting help from Kaz but finds that Kaz is the guardian of a young preteen named Opal. She insists that he stay instead of leaving to die in some battle likely, so Kaz stays with her but gives Anastasia money to buy mercenaries. The group enjoys each other's company and thinks about their future and Past.
