The country of Halsgard is located in the south of Iskaldhal, bordering the nations of Yksinka, Sjarvaldir, and Volkur. It has a younger history than most of the countries on the continent, a bond it shares with Volkur, and its citizens generally have a disdain for the 'stodgy' attitudes held by their neighbours.
It is a strict matriarchy, ruled over by its Warrior-Queen.

We will not sit idly and let the arrogant menfolk claim their right to rule. We fight to live in this world! We shed blood more readily than any man!
