Magical beasts are animals that possess a greater intelligence than normal. Though not innately able to speak, magical beasts usually understand at least one language. Most usually possess supernatural or extraordinary abilities, but some are simply bizarre in their appearance and intelligence compared to a normal animal.
Magical beasts always possess darkvision and low-light vision.
