Sigilite Beacons

The Sigilite Beacons are wardstones bordering many major cities in the Medimian Empire. They were first invented and implemented in Coruscia. They are immense repositories of magical energy stored to be used in case of any attacks, and are all linked to various control arrays. The Emperor maintains one final level of absolute control over all of the beacons, granting him instant and immediate control over the fate of his nation if need be.
At least five mortal souls with magical ability, usually members of the Amethystine Regiment, must be anchored to each control array at all times. This allows for direct control and prevents interference, and serves as a final line of defence in emergencies.
