Rurik Ungartt

Artificer / Prince Rurik Ungartt (a.k.a. Mister Rick)

Rurik Ungartt was born as the second prince of the Dwarf Kingdom to King Bharmond and Queen Tisdora. From a young age, Rurik showed a strong interest in the art of artifice and engineering, and he spent countless hours tinkering with gadgets and machines in the royal forges.
When Rurik came of age, he left the Dwarf Kingdom to pursue a formal education in the field of artifice. He attended the Great University in the city of Enidon in the country of Elsland, where he studied under some of the greatest non-dwarven artificers in the world. During his time at the university, he built his own steel golem, which he named Klarth Tjunu, meaning "steel son" in the dwarven tongue.
It was at the university where Rurik met Emlyn Garrick, a female gnome artificer who quickly became both a friend and a rival. The two of them were constantly trying to outdo each other with their creations and designs, and their friendly competition quickly turned into a fierce rivalry. Despite not seeing each other since their university days, Rurik still thinks of Emlyn as a talented and worthy opponent, and he always keeps an eye out for her latest creations.
After completing his studies, Rurik returned to the Dwarf Kingdom, where he has since continued to hone his craft and push the boundaries of dwarven artifice. With his skill and expertise, Rurik is considered one of the most talented artificers in the entire kingdom, and his creations are highly sought-after by both dwarves and non-dwarves alike.
