After years of corrupt rule under King Leopold, a group of former mercenaries led by Dowgan Davver, Barmun, Gringulon Fullnerrhy, K.AN.E, and Mirwyn Nemonis overthrew the government and established themselves as the Council of Five Lords.
Defences
The defenses of Stratus are relatively basic, but effective. The city is surrounded by a stone wall that stands about 30 feet tall and is about 15 feet thick at its widest point. The wall is patrolled by guards armed with crossbows and spears, and there are watchtowers positioned along the wall at regular intervals to provide a clear view of the surrounding countryside.
