Icecrown Giant
Icecrown Giants are an ethnicity of Giants who live in the Icecrown Mountains. They are a pastoral nomadic culture, often making temporary camps for several weeks before packing up and moving on to a new area. Their camps are almost always made in valleys of the Icecrown Mountains.
Naming Ideals
Icecrown Giants have four names, on average. They are given one name upon birth — their Birth Name — which they carry throughout their lives. The second name — their Chosen Name — is chosen by the Icecrown Giant once they become an adult around the age of twenty-four. The third of the four names — their Matric Name — is the name of the Giant's mother, prefixed by "nettiin". The fourth and last of an Icecrown Giants' names — their Patric Name — is the name of the Giant's father, prefixed by "ferriin".
The birth name of an Icecrown Giant is given to them at birth by their mother or, in the case of the mother's death during childbirth, by their father. If the mother dies and the father is unknown or not present for any reason, the birth name is given by the midwife.
If the father of a child is unknown for any reason, the Patric name is not removed, but is replaced by the name part "ferriin Dratheus". This uses the name of the Giant Deity of fatherhood.

Gender Ideals
The society of Icecrown Giants only places a loose connection between gender and biological sex. The connection is also said to only apply to Giants under the age of twenty-four, when they choose their chosen name and become adults in society. After the Giant's chosen name is announced, the Giant has free reign in regards to pronouns and gender identity. Before the chosen name is announced, the Giant is referred to with she/her pronouns if female; he/him pronouns if male; or they/them pronouns if neither male nor female.
When it comes to sexual relationships, the Giants involved are expected to disclose what sort of genitalia they have to their sexual partner in a private setting. The disclosure of another's genital type to others — except in the situation described in the next sentence — is an extremely taboo practice, as it is said to break the bond formed by sexual relations. The only exception to the taboo detailed previously is if the Giant engaging in sexual relations discloses their partner's genital type to the clan's doctor and/or midwife. This is seen as a necessary step for medical health, and is said to be exempt from the taboo thanks to the Oaths of Secrecy the doctor and midwife take.
