Lautian

Lautians are a sub-culture of the Fellars. They live mainly in the Merchant Republic of Lautio and deal in trade. Throughout the years they were influenced by the Gentemare culture and became a unique mix of those two cultures. Lautians share the fellaran believe in progress and ambition, but are much less strict when it comes to authority. They share the more egalitarian views of the gentemarans. Also, a lot of lautian naval traditions are gentemaran in origin.

To be a Lautian means to have an ambition to make one's life better and help others become their best selves. Community and learning are the two most important things in every Lautian's life.

Common Myths and Legends

Lautians share the gentemaran belief that in the past the gods chose them as guardians of the sea. However, unlike the Gentemarans, Lautian don't built big fleets. They believe that their role in guarding the sea is to connect people and preventing wars through trade.
